Steak Stones
Never eaten off a steak stone before? Don’t worry, it’s no harder than eating off a plate and much more fun!
We heat up the stone, (should you choose to have your meal this way, traditional chargrill cooking is always available but does take longer and is the same price), sprinkle with sea salt, rub the best cut of meat in a small amount of Sunny’s special – top – secret- preparation, bring it out to, (much quicker than traditional chargrill cooking) you slice your meat and then you eat it when it’s just the right colour for you, mouthful by mouthful, each one different if you prefer, how about Surf and Turf, one mouthful of delicious steak in Tennessee marinade, next comes that big juicy King Prawn dipped in spicy Weeping Tiger dip, or how about Stilton sauce followed by a quick dip in your friend’s Teriyaki dip?... "Get offffff!!!" followed by....yadda yadda yadda....
The only problem is the folks on the next table that keep looking... Shouldagottasteakstone!! Ah well, next time... once you try it, there will always be a next time at Sunny’s.
Let’s face it, no one knows how to cook your steak exactly how you like it except you (and possibly the missus ) Traditionally, once the steak is cooked in the kitchen, it’s downhill all the way, food cooling down all the time, edge a bit more well done than the middle bit... by the time you have your last mouthful ( and sometimes by the time you have your first) the meal has lost its sparkle. Well not at Sunny’s. The food stays searingly hot and there is always the shortest possible time between cooking and eating as each slice is cooked when its sliced and not before.
